Very slow logon on or just me?

It has been taking 30-50 seconds to get onto the main portal, both from my office on Comcast and at home on Cox Cable. Anyone else having a problem, or is it just the water here in New England?

Not so far today. But last night it was slow and it was other place also.

Don

I too have noticed slow login times, All last week and some this week. A few timed out attempts also. I attributed it to heavy net traffic. Or my I.S.P. although it is cable it is sometimes painfuly slow at peak use hours. We get spoiled by the speed of A.D.S.L. and Cable and if it isn`t up to what we deem "Snuff" them something must be wrong. The site {B.C.F.} is growing by leaps and bounds, It could be we were just making our login attempts at a peak use time. I dun know I`m just a farm boy.

I'm old, so sometimes I go to sleep waiting to logon and don't know if it is fast or slow HA HA! During peak times it has been slow, but then, so is the internet.

I had this problem over a week ago, to the point that I removed recently installed software, but that did not change things. I could not log in at all, but got emails regarding posts to watched topics. The next day it was good again. Kind of like my favorite teams...great for a few days, and then pathetic again.

Sorry some of you are having problems. I'm not sure what is going on. The server itself doesn't seem to be having any problems (works fast for me every time). I'll look into it but at this point I'm really at a loss.

Basil

Thanks Basil. It was very slow logging on for me too yesterday & the day before, things seem to be coming around.
Gremlins?Headquarters has laid off the culprits it seems.
Basil;...how do i change my ID?to something more appropriate.TIA. Ken
