I saw a really nice car yesterday in the neighborhood but couldn't catch up to it to see the name. It was a silver coupe that was sort of Aston-Martin looking, only smaller. It had scoop like things on the side like the Mercedes 300 SL and had kind of a blunted tail. If I were to guess the styling was '60 ish German maybe with a little Italian influence. Does that make any sense at all or conjure up any images?

I'm thinking TVR 2500/3000M.

Is this it?

TVR3000M

I never saw the front end-- just from the rear and side. Looks like you nailed it! Can you tell me more about this car? I googled it and found a pic showing what I saw.

Basically the same car - & there's one for sale on ebay right now.

The readers digest version: The pic you attached appears to be a TVR 2500M. A fiberglass body on a tube chassis. Uses the TR6 driveline but has a superior IRS. You can even see the TR6 taillights in the pic you attached. The 3000M used the Ford 3.0L 'Essex'V6 if memeory serves. Great fun on four wheels but their drivers compartment ventilation leaves a lot to be desired.

I'd still like to get one myself someday. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif
