I am looking specifically for a LR fender that has the wider nose and not the narrow taper. The one in the picture is incorrect and needs to be replaced.

I would recommend attempting to fit the stone protects. If they can be made to look good(quite a job!)
just move forward instead of backwards. Be aware that all stone protects are of such poor quality that
it may take several hours each to even get OK fitment. The only good news is it will drive you to DRINK!
They will be ruined the first time you drive it any way.....

Thanks for the note, I'm still interested in finding the correct fender. It may seem like going backwards however there are multiple problems with the body work that unfortunately were completed by the body shop and then painted over. If i don't correct them now i think it will be more difficult to address later on. Cage nut coverers were removed and not replaced in the difficult to get to for example. the stone guard on the right side was an easy fit but the LS fender is about one inch too narrow to fit into the new replacement stone guard. I have spoken to a lot of folks who are in disbelief that this is an issue but I defiantly have 2 LS fenders that are narrow and do not come close to matching the right side which I know is the original fender. I agree this is an intoxicating situation! I'll try to post more pictures to show the situation more clearly.

What you are looking for is a post 60000# car wing. I do have several in various conditions. However
you are a long way from Ks.

Yes Kansas is a long way from me in California. I am hoping someone closer has one available!

I am not aware of any changes being made to rear wings/fenders after around TS 1300 (early TR2). I also just read Bill Piggott's book about the changes made at TS 60,000 and there is no mention of the fenders changing in any way.

I also have a smallmouth TR3 and a TR3B and can see no differences.

Mad Dog - please let me know if you are aware of something otherwise. I'd love to know.

I guess I have seen different wings fit up better than others. Most likely, in retrospect, is that collisions damages
over the years with poor repairs caused this. Dorn would be best advised to bodywork the wing he has and fit the
stone deflector as a guide.....before respray.

OMG what a PITA right! I am taking your advice Mad Dog, I need to work on some more critical items, at this point I believe the body work can be done later without any major rework of the restoration. Forward progress is the goal!

I am re- focusing on the completing the electrical work. Also on my list is a revisit of the steering, suspension and braking system. I completed this work maybe 3 years ago.. and then life happened again!

BUT I still want to know if there's a correct LR replacement fender somewhere that is reasonably priced. Or if I just happen to be in Kansas in the near future!!

Thanks for your assistance!
