Caught this film about Steve McQueen and the making of the movie "LeMans" on Showtime last night. Lots of behind the scenes stuff and the racing shots were excellent. Really told the story of McQueen's desire to translate the racing experience to the movie goer. It's being shown a bunch of times on Showtime and I'd highly recommend it. The trailer focuses a bit too much on the "legend" of McQueen, but the film itself shows a lot more about the whole concept of the movie.:

 
I need to break down and find a DVD of the flick. Thanks for reminding me of it, Rick!

The documentary I referenced is about the making of the movie LeMans and examines the struggles McQueen had with producing his dream movie. Thanks for the tip on the showing of the actual movie. It's been a while since I've seen it and seeing the movie after seeing the background documentary should be really special.

Yeah, caught that. I don't have Showtime - may catch it another time.

I have a VHS copy of the movie, but will be recording it tomorrow night.
 
Just watched and enjoyed it again last night. :encouragement: PJ
