Spitfire Spitfire - Hazard Switch Removal

I'd like to remove the hazard light switch from the dash of our project Spitfire Mk4. I have removed the tach to gain some access to the back of the dashboard but I don't see how the hazard light switch is removed. Can someone explain how to remove the switch from the dash? Do you somehow unscrew the smooth chrome bezel from the front side?
 
The easiest way I have seen to do it, would be to remove your speedo and tach. by doing that, the whole section of panel will come loose, and you'll see a nut on the back of the hazard switch, undo the nut, and the switch will slide out the front of the panel.
 
I was able to spend more time on the hazard switch tonight. This particular switch uses a thin, round panel nut installed from the front side. With the pull-knob and panel nut removed from the front the switch is removed from the back. I missed this at first because it was black and deeply recessed in the switch opening.

It's a good thing I got the switch out. It turned out that heavily oxidized contacts in the switch were the problem behind the turn signals not working.

I will take the speedo out soon. The dash is a wood veneer type from a later Spitfire and it is in serious need of a refinishing. Removing the dash will also allow me to clean up other wiring issues behind the dash.
