Security / Camera system recommendations

We have an antiquated camera system (low resolution) and want to "upgrade" to something more robust and higher resolution. Looking for recommendations, with the following caveats:
1. Want at least 4k video
2. Multiple cameras
3. Ability to monitor remotely over the internet
4. NO Subscription fees!!
5. Nothing that uses Google!

Ideas?

No recommendations on cameras. I’ll also be watching this thread since I need to replace mine.
I’m also going to be replacing my very old Zwave controller with this
Not only does it give you the ability to view your cameras online but you can also can have a smart home.

I have Arlo on one house and Blink on another. Both give me adequate results and they do not require a subscription. I did recently replace one camera on my Arlo system after ten years. I bought an Arlo Essentials camera and I have to say that the picture quality is much better than the original. It still works with my original base station and it gives me great pictures even at night. I bought it on Amazon and it was just $50. I don't know what a complete system would cost, but I am happy with my old base unit and the new camera. One other option is the single screw in cameras that fit into a light socket. I put two of these in our antique store and they are amazing. You can sign into them remotely and you can rotate the camera to see anything in the area. The ones that I bought look to be typical Chinese junk but they work great and they are just $25 each. They even have built in night illumination that actually works well. We also have a security system in the store, but I never look at that because the movable cameras give you so many options.

Thanks. Just looked at both on Amazon. They do look like what I'm looking for. Still open to other suggestions. The hard part will be finding true objective reviews.

The camera functions seem to be fine on both Arlo and Blink. I do believe that the picture quality on the new Arlo Essentials camera is better. The audio on my original Arlo system is very poor. You can hear OK but the speaker function is not loud enough. As with most stuff these days, customer support is a challenge with both companies. About the only good hing is that it gives you a chance to learn a new language and it is fun to talk o someone in another part of the world. I did get my Blink system on Amazon and I bought it during Prime Days. It was so cheap that I actually bought two systems and I now have a spare.
