Thought I would post a thought or two on sanding blocks guys might want to consider for sanding/ blocking. When I first begun in the trade I used to have a aluminum long sanding board, used to get things very straight. Then I found myself going towards the hard plastic yellow board. What I didn't realize is over the years it was warping and not true- flat. My bodywork/primer blocking was getting harder to get straight and I could not figure out why. A friend told me my board was warped, he was right, put it on a level surface and sure enough.
So moral of the story is a I went back to a aluminum/wood reinforced long board and It feels like the magic is back once again. If you need flat get a sanding block that wont flex.
