Hey gang,
I just replaced my water pump with a new Victoria British unit, but it has introduced some fitment issues with my 6 blade plastic fan. It's a 1275 with a bugeye single channel pulley. The Pulley flange on the new pump sits a full 1/8" closer to the engine than the old one, and now the fan blades brush against the oil separator. The flange does appear to sit pretty far down on the shaft compared to some pictures I've seen online, and on the old one the shaft doesn't even reach the end of the flange.
Does anyone have a water pump laying around that they wouldn't mind measuring along from the back to the mating surface of the flange? I get 3-5/8" on the new and 3-3/4" on the old. The new one could be correct, but if so, I need to figure out how to clear my fan from the separator.

thanks!
