Fifty extra years and 100 more pounds makes it nearly impossible to get in and out of my MGA roadster. It seems that removing the steering wheel might make it doable. Has anyone else made this modification, and if so, where did you find the hub adapter? TIA.

There are many different types on eBay.

This is just one of them

Just use a smaller diameter wheel - find a balance between steering effort and belly clearance. Dropping 2" in diameter can make a huge difference as long as you don't mind the added steering effort.
