So about 3 months into my '69 Sprite and: repaired the cracked dash, replaced the cracked windshield, new discs, drums, pads, hoses, tuned exhaust, brake booster, aluminium radiator, sport coil, electronic ignition, new clutch, throw out bearing, milled the head, hardened valve guides, ground valves, honed cylinder walls, new rings, timing chain and gear, polished crank, new bearings, rear main seal kit, repaired tonneau, replaced pass side antennae with mirror, front shocks, set of nos keys, and a new steering wheel and a bunch of little stuff. Love being back in the world of British sports cars!

Congratulations. Sounds like a lot of progress.

So now we need pics. It didn't really happen without pics to prove it.

Got to go to Advanced when you respond, pics I reduce in size to 500X 300 pixels. You can add up to 4 pics per post.

Still working on the pics!

With your advice and looking a one of Brazil's tutorials on iPhone pic rotation, I got some pics downloaded. The car is ar a shop in CT right now when it gets back I'll have some more info.

Looking good!

Wow, a whole lot of work. Nice paint and great color.

looks great! when you say you repaired the cracked dash did you get a new cap or repair the existing? (If the later could you share how)

Also, when you upload a picture and it appears in your 'panel' (what you are typing into) double click it and on the right side of the top you will see the option to change the size. click 'large' and it will come out bigger.

cheers

I prepped and filled in a number of cracks with the POLYVANCE products to stabilize the surface. Then I bonded the cap on and dyed the whole dash with LEATHER MAGIC'S vinyl dye. To repair the cracks in the padded dash well enough to be satisfied with the job, would have ment removing the dash. POLYVANCE has a good video on the dash repair process.

wonderful - will take a look. thanks for this.

Fellow '69 Mark IV owner here, too. Mine doesn't look anywhere as nice as yours. I've got an "8 foot" paint job. It's been seeing a lot of duty this spring because of social distancing.
