Leaky exhaust from manifold

Where my exhaust pipe meets the manifold, two if the bolts with the nuts has become stripped, and so it does not tighen up, and my exhaust is leaking from there, and it of course sounds terrible (can't even have a conversation in the car it is so loud) I have not looked into this much yet, but is that stud part of the manifold? or just a bolt that I can replace? or should I go to a exhaust shop and have them see what they can do?

I think those studs are replaceable, but I have not looked at one in a long time.

They thread into the block. They're replaceable, but not simple: a coarse thread on one end and fine one on the other, so I guess you're stuck with either making them or getting them from the Usual Suspects. Not hard to make. Use a bolt with an unthreaded portion. Cut off the head and cut threads with a die.

The stripped studs are probably gonna be a bear to remove. Use plenty of WD40. You can get a special from Harbor Freight tool that grabs the stud. Try not to break the stud while removing it...

Typically brass nuts are used, I assume for a reason. Probably to minimize corrosion.

Use plenty of PB Blaster and let it soak and soak for several days.

Take pictures of the carb linkage BEFORE you start. After replacing that gasket I now have a true understanding of the British Term "Fiddly Bits" as I went to remount the carbs.
