Jensen Healey - Anyone Interested?

There's a body shop near here that has had a bunch of cars parked in the lot.
The other day I noticed that the city came by,& tagged most of them - to be towed to the wrecking yard.
There's a Jensen (I believe it's a '75), in this lot.
It's White,has some surface rust(but not horrible),4 speed,
hardtop (not sure if it's factory,or not).
Hopefully, this can just be towed off - for free.
If anyone's interested,contact me,& I'll look into it,& get
some pictures.

- Doug

The cars probably have a legitamate owner that is not aware the cars are going to be towed... The shop is probably illegally parking them, or has been shut down. But then again, the shop may own them, but I doubt it.

This is the owner's personal vehicle.
I just wanted to see if anyone's interested before I
spend more time on this.
I don't mind doing the legwork,as long as someone's interested.

- Doug

I'd be interested if it was nearby. Certainly it is worth the effort to save it. Someone either needs the parts or would want the entire car. Us JH owners think the day may come for these nifty roasters with the Lotus 907 twin cam mill.

Good Luck

So do I, which is why it is always sad when you see someone ripping the engine (clearly the best part of the car) out and sticking some humdrum replacement V6 or V8 in.

Yes!
I'm about 4 hours south of Eureka. What is the status of this car, if you know? Too Late?
Thanks,
Suzanne

We are in Sausalito, just across the Big Orange Bridge from San Francisco. I had a Bugeye in my late teens and early twenties and the urge to spend copious amounts of time and money on a cherished vehicle has bitten me once again! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif This time I have a partner in crime, my beloved, who is smitten as I am. He is a recovering ex-German sportster owner who is wanting to do it right this time /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/england.gif
Any advice on the JH search? I think we have found a good one to start, so fingers crossed!
Suz

My advice is buy as many as possible and keep them out of the rain. This is a good site but there is a dedicated JH site with dedicated JH owners that is really helpful to the new (and not so new) owner.

Have a nice day

Thanks, Steve!I like your style:smile:
(The JH Forum is where I found the link to this site...both great resouces! )
Suzanne

Suzanne,

Just stopped by to talk to the owner.
Yes,it's FREE,NON-OPT,& he can get the paperwork.
I could store it at my house - as long as it's short-term.
I have a guy coming down from Canada, with an empty trailer,
who might be pursuaded (for a fair amount),into delivering it to you.

Interested?

There you go, Suzanne. And, the trip from Sausalito to Eureka is a nice drive up the coast. 101 is no fun at all! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Jeff

Interested? How fast can I type YES!
I'll be giving you a call!It probably wouldn't be a problem to drive up and get it, but I'd love to hear about your Canadian guy, too /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

How lucky is this? To find a second car the same week as the first,FREE,and even the same color!

This is going to be a great birthday /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You guys are the BEST!

Doug, are you a Scotch, wine, or Guiness drinker? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

And a saga for the BCF "history book" too!

This is a tight group, Suzanne. There are those among us with scads of JH wrench time, as well. I've a workshop manual here you may have access to if you need it. PDF is within our capability... "We have the technology..." /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks Guys!
If Doug agrees, we will be picking up this little gem on Sunday afternoon /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I can hardly wait...
We pick up it's sister car on Saturday! JH 17091 is a real driver and we hope Eureka 18141 will someday be zooming along side. You guys are such a wealth of information. It is very much appreciated!!!
The car came with a fushia spiral one which I believe is an owner's manual? Keep that wrench handy!
Suzanne

Didn't make it up to pick this one up this weekend, but here is it's "sister car"

74 4 speed Jensen Healey, mostly stock except for paint and sound system /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
