Sound is unreal!
Yea I'm headed up to the healey drive in southern Maine this weekend. Should drive it though the Boston tunnels again!
I do love the quiet corner of Connecticut for driving the healey around, so many nice roads.
Nothing sounds better than a big 6 Healey and this one sounds GREAT ! Sounds like you have a V-8 stuck in there - love it !
I had a friend several years ago who had a side exhaust on his '66 3000. Sounded great. He also told me that after a few years his left ear was ringing. He was expereincing the first stages of Hearing loss. Something to think about. I also wear a C.I., cochlear implant in my left ear because a Hearing Aid would no longer work(military service connected disability).Hey as long as I make it the whole trip I'll feel like a winner already. Might have to shove an ear plug in my left ear though, or bring some for the kids!

Thanks for the words of wisdom guys, I'll grab a few ear plugs today. Need to find some that aren't orange though, I had a police officer tell me to take them out when I was driving a very loud car on the highway.
My hearing loss was the Navy also...aviation.I have side exhaust on mine too, and I put an earplug in my left ear whenever I'll be driving for a while. I lost enough hearing in the Navy.
That sounds great! You need to find a long tunnel to drive through. Bought my bugeye in Danielson 36 years ago (yikes!) when we were living in Pomfret.
