TR6 Distributor help on TR6

I couldn't figure out why my TR6 was running so poorly - found out the distributor was not clamped well and moving! No matter how hard I tighten the clamp though, it does not seem to hold the distributor well. What could I be doing wrong? Does someone have a pic showing how it seats/fits in the clamp? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Is the clamping plate secured to the pedestal? I believe there is one bolt holding the clamping plate down.
Have you checked the clamping bolt to make sure it's not stripped?

I don't know if this is an issue on the TR6; but on the TR3 the "pot metal" distributor body can crack where the clamp grips it, resulting in the joint being loose no matter how much you tighten the clamp.
