TR2/3/3A Color coded TR3 schematic

I don't know if this is useful to anybody but me, but I got annoyed at the black and white TR3 schematic, so I color coded it. I'll probably clean it up some more, but it's usable as is and makes the various circuits obvious at a mere glance.

Yeah, I'd seen that one, but I liked the approximate physical layout of the factory one better.

I'm puzzled, Jeremy ... why didn't you start with the schematic for your car, instead of such an early TR3?

I just used the one from the WSM. I didn't spend much time on it, just an hour or so getting the colors on the wires. The wiring difference didn't look too huge...

At Advance Wiring site it suggests having the document printed at Staples or Kinkos on a 11 X 17 inch paper. I contacted Staples and e-mailed them the PDF and specified to print page two of the PDF, make two copies, laminate one, and contact me when finished. This cost $6.00. With the enlarged copy, I can easily read the print.

I had to go even bigger than that for the 308 schematic. That thing is a nightmare!

Well, it's not too huge. Unless you want the wipers, turn signals and brake lights to work.

You wouldn't be the first to wonder why the fuse blows everytime you try the wipers.

This one is closer, although it still doesn't show the dimmer for the dash lights (or the fuel gauge in the right position)

BTW, Don, many of the "99 cent" stores carry reading glasses ... with suitable cheaters you can both read a reasonable size diagram AND see what you are doing!

I keep a selection of them scattered all around the garage.

That looks closer to the "Practical Hints" one. Oh, wait, I see that now in the name of the jpg. :laugh:

That one is from Practical Hints 4th edition (with some changes by me to make it closer to the LHD configuration). Every edition had a slightly different schematic.
