Color coating almost completed, clear is next

As of about 4:00, George, our Paint Master, was getting ready for the final coat of Mimosa and I got these while he was loading up the gun. After drying a scuffing, cleaning and tack and then the clear.

By Monday the paper will be coming off after a nice weekend in the booth setting up. Then the grille area and rear panel will get new matte black finishes and reassembly starts.

Sorry the views aren't better but these paint booths are not what one would call huge.

Boy that looks great. Nice panel fittings. What did you ever decide to do for the scuttle draining hoses?

How bout just kickin back and resting for a change.

Gauge cleaning (which I have the all of the cases to swap into painted) and new dash panel and that's it.

Sorry Stirkle, I almost missed your question.

I got the 65-66 Mustang 1/4 panel drain vents which I forgot to take a picture of, but will give the link below. Alan ran a hose from the main drain on each side which will pipe into these drain covers that he will install in the front inner fender shields. He left those off and will install them after the paint work is completed.

I'll post pictures next week after the panels are cut and the plugs are fit in place to show how he did it.

There is two coats of POR15 inside each fender now, so I don't think that I'll worry much for the next 34 years.
