Bugeye Windshield Seal

Re the windshield-to-body seal, my 1959 Bugeye has two screws on each window post. The rear screw has a nut that’s acceptable ["accessible"? -Ed.], but I can't see or feel under the front screw.

My question: Is the nut for the front screw fastened to the body or will it fall down and in if I unscrew it?
