Took the car out today for the first good run. Went to get fuel and on the way back started missing and then stopped. After being recovered with a wrecker was able to determine no fuel was being pumped by the fuel pump. The hand pump operated fine but the pump would not deliver fuel by the engine. The pump is new having just purchased it on April 6th. Naturally, the tank was full so had to drain it. And after removing the pump noticed the operating lever was all the way to one side. See picture. Is it possible the lever went so far to the side it came off the lobe? Or is it more likely one of the valves fell out? Sorry for the poor quality of the picture of the lobe. That's as far away as I could get with the camera. Should the operating lever fit between the shoulders of the lobe? Thanks for the help.
