Does anyone have any experience with the TRF or other alloy rocker cover on a late (1974) TR6 with EGR valve? TRF's catalog indicates 'may interfere w/ EGR valve...'

My car is pretty much original, but the valve cover was overtightened once or twice javascript:void(0)
/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hammer.gif (one downside of a great PO who actually maintained the car..) and good original covers are hard to find. Rgds, W

I replaced the original cover on my 74 TR6 last year with one of the TriumphTune units, just for esthetic reasons. The EGR valve needs to be removed to do this, I ended up just plugging it with an appropriate bolt. From an operating standpoint, there was absolutely no difference, car still runs great. Given the age of the car, it does not require an emmisions test to be licensed here in Ontario. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/canpatriot.GIF

That is what I thought..thanks.

The car is all original including its all its emission controls, so I'll try to find a better valve cover.
