Adjusting gear lever, centershift 3000

My BJ7 transmission has a minor problem with the gear lever. When 1st gear is selected, the lever needs to be moved ever so slightly toward 3rd gear. Otherwise, it feels like the lever is bumping into something. Is there an adjustment for the "slots" so that I can move the lever more cleanly into 1st?
