I remember this car back in the late '70's. I was still in high school, I would visit Stan Huntley's FASPEC British car shop in east Portland. I had no idea what it was, but though it was the coolest car ever. At that time everyone was into muscle cars and I was shopping for a Spriget.
It will be interesting to see how much in brings. Butch Gilbert's restored 1959 Sebring Sprite has been on the market at $135,000 for a few years.

I was lucky enough to drive the works Sebring Sprite pictured below on some great sports car roads around Lime Rock. ((got to drive the 100S, too) What a thrill. It really is a magnificent car with all the power you could want in a light, great handling package. The later works cars surely have to be the ultimate Sprites.
