group, I need some pictures of the rear carpet area for a 1957 TR3. Anybody have a like to pictures?

Jerry

Hi Jerry;

Here are some carpet pix taken when installed in my 1958, basically the same as yours. Note that this location of the eye bolts for the seat belts (if you choose to install them) is for long belts. If you used regular size belts, you need to install the mounts in the floor.

Pictures 2 and 3 were what I needed. Those pieces of carpet that go up the back, I could not tell how far up the back they needed to go. Thanks .

Jerry,

I see you have a map light on your dash, very cool! What do all the other buttons attached to your dash do?

Bill

Hey Bill;

On the left is an electric clock and switches for driving lights and a backup light. On the right is a map light, a cigarette lighter/12v power source and a switch to disable both (I have this psycho problem with unattended electrical currents). Above that is a voltmeter in place of the ammeter because I converted to an alternator and don't like the idea of 65 amps potentially traveling through my dashboard (the phobia strikes again). All else is as it's supposed to be.

Before the anoraks get too upset, I have a pristine dashboard in my stock and all the unused original wires have been labeled, insulated and tied back; the interior can be converted back to original form with very little effort. In the meantime, it has the conveniences that I prefer.

Looks nice! Where'd you get your brown carpet. I have a BRG car with tan seats and my wife and I really liked the Moss brown (actually its is called like Autumn Leaf or something like that) but it is unavailable for the TR3. TRF is sending me swatches of their TR3 tans and a TR6 brown they say they can make for me since The Magic Carpet Factory is now in house.

Bill

I have the TRF brown in my TR3A. I like the color, it goes well with my brown leather seats.

Jerry

The carpet is actually black in natural light. It looks brown because I tinkered with the flash settings to bring out some details that I wanted to capture.

I got the carpet set from TRF and am quite pleased with it.
